EDITORIAL: Happy New Year- We’re back and Praise God!

January 7, 2022

Happy New Year to all of our followers. We are excited to be back from our Christmas holiday and we hope to continue on with another year of bringing you high quality content from around the Caribbean and Central American region.

There are several issues ongoing right now that we are watching. The first is how this assassination attempt on Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry is going to play itself out. We are waiting on who will be charged and who they will be connected to.

The second issue we are also watching is the upcoming Barbados elections this January 19. Will Mia Mottley be shown the door, or will she hold on for another term? We have to wait and see.

Other than that we are on our constant grind here, we have the short story contest about to wrap up next week. We have a few entries, but can always use a lot more. If you have a penchant for writing then please enter.

Then we have the speech competition we are organising with the Caribbean Toastmasters District 81. That one promises to be a lot of fun and very interesting as the team at District 81 can’t wait to hear what you people have to say.

There are some other bits and pieces out there we have a side eye on and we will keep you informed as the time progresses.

So please enjoy your New Year and stick to your resolutions.
