On December 1 and 2, 2022, Tegucigalpa will host a major event on public integrity in Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Government of Honduras.
The event will bring together top representative from 18 countries part of the OECD-IDB Network for Integrity in Latin America and the Caribbean. This year’s event will center on innovation in public integrity policies for better oversight of government, a key challenge in the region.
At the event, attendees will exchange best practices and lessons learned from implementing transparency and integrity policies at the international and sector level, including the use of information technologies.
The morning session on December 1st will be open to the public and feature presentations by senior officials from the Honduran government, as well as authorities from the IDB and OECD. Secretary of Finance Rixi Moncada will also attend this session, where the Plataforma Honduras Inversiones of the InvestmentMap initiative will be launched. Additionally, Honduran authorities will discuss a three-year roadmap to strengthening integrity and transparency in the country.
All other sessions will be closed and by invitation only.
People can follow the open sessions virtually by signing up here, and members of the press should contact Nidia Barahona at nidiab@iadb.org or Katherine Raudales at kraudales@sefin.gob.hn to coordinate their registration.
