So the US has sanctioned three Guyanese for doing business in their own country, with their own resources? How did the US get this far and beyond with their meddling and slander of foreign nationals that have nothing to do with the US?
This is not even a case of the Guyanese trio breaking any laws in the US like former British Virgin Islands Premier Andrew Fahie and his cohorts have been caught doing. It’s not even a matter of international wire fraud where these Guyanese targeted American citizens in America. But the Guyanese nationals were involved in business in their own country, at their own risk with their own people. American has gone overboard with this.
I liken this to the European Union’s Blacklist of countries who don’t follow their rules on international tax cooperation.
I see why Americans call their government the “world police,” because they are. But this has led to the slandering of these Guyanese individuals as if they are international criminals or terrorists.
The damage has been done. We hope these people can redeem themselves and find themselves in the grace of the Lord forever.
