Beauty and the Beast

“Like a gate pass shattered by the mirror of thunder,

My heart trembles, a melody soft yet unyielding.

It hums through the storm, fragile but unbroken,

Seeking the love that can still its aching refrain.”

“The beast stirs within wild, relentless, unseen,

Born of wounds, secrets, and shadows long buried.

It roars in the depths of my soul,

A tempest of fears I dared not name.”

“But then, you arrived a light so gentle,

Your beauty not just in form but in the grace of your being.

Your touch softened the growl, your gaze tamed the storm.

You saw past the chaos, past the thorns and scars,

And breathed life into what I thought was lost.”

“You are the calm that quiets the storm,

The beauty that reclaims the beast.

In your arms, my rage turns to rhythm,

My darkness to dawn, my scars to stories of survival.”

“What magic is this, that you see the beast and do not flinch?

That your love does not try to change, but to understand?

You have made a home in the chaos of my being,

Not to conquer, but to coexist.”

“And so, I give you this heart, once fractured and afraid.

A melody now complete, its song shaped by your love.

For even the fiercest beast finds peace in beauty’s embrace,

And even the wildest storm bows to the whisper of hope.”
