EDITORIAL: Branson and Bezos goes to space, but we’re still poor and pissed!

How do you like those apples? Billionaire bros Sir Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos have gone to space.

Jeff Bezos the, Amazon.com founder, went today in his spacecraft to the edge of space. The mission was successful but he was a week late to Sir Richard Branson who went up before him.

The thing with Sir Richard is that he has been at this space travel thing since 2004, when he announced the signing of a deal under which a new space tourism company, Virgin Galactic would be born. This is no secret for Branson as he has been planning this for years now.

Bezos on the other hand is kind of new to this. Despite being a mega rich tycoon with money to burn, which has people upset with both men, he is just trying his hand at new ventures as he stepped down from running Amazon.com.

People are asking: How can they spend money on going to space when there are so many people starving and hurting in the world? The thing is it is their money. It’s not yours. Count your own money.

Just to show you a bit of cheek, today Bezos also pledged $200m to charities as a way to to shut some of the critics up. Ain’t that big of him? I bet you it satisfied none of the low vibration trolls on social media, ticked off because a man is spending his money the way he sees fit.

Truth is, we need people like Sir Richard and Bezos, because without their selfish ambition the world would truly be a lot darker, in a crude and funny sort of way. Their innovation and intelligence has helped to shape this world we live in. Who out there has not bought something through Amazon? There is not one person out there that has not been affected by Sir Richard’s chain of established philanthropy and vast network of business interests that greases the wheels of many other initiatives and ventures.

All of you sorry sacks need to shut your yap and let these great men do what they do. What you should be doing for your own miserable lives is asking God to give you or your seed favour and grace so you too can do something great one day.

My rant is over. I feel better now that I have gotten that off of my chest.
