The Central America Tourism Agency (CATA) will put in place a mechanism in an effort to speed up the reactivation of the travel industry in the region.
A report released by the Caribbean News Digital e-newsletter added that the mechanism will be The Central America Virtual Roadshow: The Americas 2021.
This event as a tool comprises three major promotional and marketing summits for travel professionals and the press: the first in Mexico (September 2), the second in the United States (September 8) and the third in Canada (September 23).
The aim is to promote Central America as a multi-tourist destination and make possible negotiations between tour operators from Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua with their counterparts in these target markets.
With this event, Central America is also seeking to highlight its ability to meet tourists’ expectations and demands and foster the knowledge and use of the complementarity of tourist products.
CATA Secretary General Carolina Briones explained that each event will begin with the presentation of the destinations, and after the presentation by the Ministries of Tourism, a press conference will be prepared.
