The luxurious villa, affectionately named after the owner’s wife, was built in 2012 and is located in the city of Castries, the island’s capital and largest city. It occupies three private and lushly landscaped acres, with 270-degree views of the Caribbean Sea. The property also conveys with a 75-year leasehold (originated in 2010) for additional beachfront parcels, allowing for “private access” to the secluded beaches of Trou Rolland.

“Villa Susanna is truly a private oasis on the island of St. Lucia that offers immediate proximity to premier amenities like Marigot Bay, while simultaneously creating the feeling of being worlds away from the hustle and bustle of civilization,” said Trayor Lesnock, Platinum’s founder and president. “And its quality of construction, combined with the owner’s meticulous maintenance, make the property look like it was built within the past year.”

The property enjoys an elevated location on the southern tip of Marigot Bay, within a short walk of the bay’s popular harbor, where yachts large and small from all over the world make anchor. Marigot Bay was famously featured in the 1967 film Doctor Dolittle and is considered one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful bays. Zoëtry Marigot Bay, the island’s popular, upscale hotel – along with a collection of restaurants and shops – sits in the heart of the bay.

An electronic entry gate opens to a private road leading to the villa, comprised of a main residence surrounded by a series of guest quarters, which are named Yellow Flamboyant, Red Heliconia and White Frangipani, after the island’s exotic flora. Indoor living areas total approximately 4,905 sf, and include 7 bedrooms, 7 full baths and 3 half-baths, while outdoor living areas add another 3,509 sf.

Beautiful wooden walkways connect each of the living quarters and the common living spaces, which include a gourmet kitchen with wood-fired pizza oven by Di Fiore Forni, a sunken living room and art gallery. Fine materials are evident throughout, such as marble mosaic flooring, Sardinian granite columns and Murano glass chandeliers. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors with slatted wooden shutters open to reveal panoramic views of the surrounding grounds and ocean.

Perhaps the premier feature of the villa’s outdoor living areas is its large, custom pool crossed by a wooden footbridge leading to an oceanfront gazebo that includes a cabana bath. There is also a private, in-ground spa tub and outdoor shower on the veranda of the Yellow Flamboyant quarters.

With its ability to accommodate up to 17 overnight guests comfortably, Villa Susanna has also been used to host weddings and other private events, in addition to serving as a luxury vacation rental. The owners, however, have rented the villa on fairly limited basis to date, according to Platinum, as they still enjoy the property as a private residence during certain months of each year.
