The HEART/NSTA Trust must continue its outstanding efforts to ensure young Jamaicans are gainfully employed, urged the CEO of a recruitment service that specializes in connecting Caribbean jobseekers with businesses, hiring managers and other Human Resource professionals.
“The latest numbers are showing that the HEART/NSTA is doing a great job with making sure young people are placed in jobs where they can further develop the skills they’ve learned while also making a decent living,” said Joseph Boll, Caribbean Employment Services Inc. CEO. “Our organization was formed to help bridge a gap between employers and jobseekers, but programmes like HEART/NSTA are absolutely essential in making sure that young people are adequately skilled and then placed directly in line of the right opportunities to succeed.”
Caribbean Employment Services Inc. is a market-leading digital talent acquisition service that aims to connect the top talent from the Caribbean with hiring managers, HR professionals and decision-makers in companies both within the Caribbean as well as abroad. Further, it aims to provide the region’s jobseekers and those who are already employed with news and resources related to Caribbean labour.
Boll’s comments come as the HEART/NSTA recently revealed that it has placed some 6,784 young people in decent jobs, out of an ambitious goal of helping 7,300 youth with job placement. The organization also emphasized its commitment to engaging unattached and at-risk youth, to continue with its efforts to ensure the employability of Jamaicans.
The CEO continued, “What’s even more impressive is that the HEART/NSTA Trust is training and providing skills development in areas that are developing and non-traditional. Many Caribbean countries have renewed their focus on diversifying their economies, and rolling out training programmes to help that along. HEART/NSTA is training in some of these new, developing industries that are million-dollar industries worldwide. This will absolutely help improve the employability of young people and help Jamaica to thrive in these new industries.”
Caribbean Employment Services Inc. is eager to see the HEART/NSTA’s continued success, and looks forward to continuing to help businesses connect with the top local talent for their labour needs.
