Stop this masquerade! What we need is an urgent agreement without preconditions. Haiti is dying.
Where have all these politicians gone who proclaim blind violence towards and against all and now watch our nation sink into the darkest nothingness for lack of proposing enlightened and coherent solutions?
What is your vision to get us out of your trap? Because in fact you designed it that way! Are we unable to get out of the spiral of the easy and the abject, the refrain of the same incendiary practices reviewed and corrected for worse? And for what result! Nay!
Where are those who advocated barricades without respect for the rights of other citizens to go about their business peacefully?
Come out of your silence and explain yourself. The gurgling of hungry bellies awaits you; the students and the pain of the parents are watching you, the young entrepreneurs and the small business that you claim to defend, are waiting for you and are at bay. What do you do with this fundamental principle of democracy in the name of which you hoar yourselves by spitting smoke and toxicity:
“Kote dwa pa w finished, se la dwa pa m komanse. »
Because of these hideous and heinous acts of violence, misery has settled more deeply in our people (no offense our leaders have also gone there with their seal of salt and peppers of irresponsibility):
The food, if found, is overpriced. No work, no earnings.
There is no drinking water. Intestinal diseases return with rage.
Propane gas for cooking is becoming increasingly rare and prices, under this threat, soar even more. Trees planted in the hope of a better tomorrow are uprooted to produce charcoal, if not to serve as barricades.
Conscientious young people attach themselves to their studies in preparation for their future in appalling conditions, end up under murderous bullets, caught in the gears of blind violence advocated in all winds.
All the (already very limited) advances of the last 20 years have been reduced to smoke and dust.
So!
Isn’t it time to explore other avenues that can provide valid and lasting solutions? Who, lucid, responsible, and competent, can claim to develop a country in such a mess? I say it again and again, it is TIME to reflect, think and act differently by accompanying these people honestly towards what they have been hearing for more than half a century: to live a dignified life in harmony with their values of well-being, freedom and of peace! Take back our sense of belonging, regain our pride, our dignity and have a radiant Haiti.
