EDITORIAL: Merry Christmas, we shut down until the New Year.

December 6, 2024

We want to thank each and every one of our readers for sticking with us this year as this magazine continues to grow and provide important news and views from around the region.

A lot has happened this year. We nearly starved to death as a result of the dock worker strike in the US. Thank God it was averted.

We also nearly had our first female US president who happened to be of Jamaican heritage. We should be proud that she made it that far.

We also had internal successes this year as well. Our Poetry Contest successfully concluded with the top three finishers. We also had our TropicSpin music and song competition, which also was a success.

Regrettably, we could not host our short story contest again, due to issues beyond our control. But we will host it again next year, God willing.

We want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2025.

God’s blessings.
