EDITORIAL: Pray for Grenada

November 15, 2024

The nasty flooding that hit Grenada this past week looks apocalyptic. For a tiny nation to be deluged by flood water, washing away everything in its past, is absolutely terrifying. No man or animal can withstand that torrent.

Will Grenada be under water in the next 50 years? It seems as if there is no flood control and the water is taking the land. Call it climate change.

This is the true evidence of prolonged climate related damage. The flooding has not hit just the rural areas. The flood hit everywhere. No where was safe.

We pray for the safety of Grenadians in this hour of trial.

  1. Mr. Kemp, I am very sorry to read this news about the waters raised by the rains last week on the Island of Grenada. I ask my God, that just as the torrential waters flooded the sister Republic of Granda, now all his blessings rain down on it and allow the recovery of the losses due to those natural disasters. God, cover the people and the Republic of Granada with your mantle. Amen.
