I was wondering if the authorities of this world are bold enough to force people to take the various forms of COVID-19 vaccines? I think they are well on the way towards making it nearly impossible to do business without having it. For example, you can’t enter into another country- if it is opened-without showing that you have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Not that you can’t enter, but if you don’t have the vaccine you have to take a bunch of tests and quarantine procedures. This is just going to come down to cost and comfort for many people.
But the matter is now that there are still health issues surrounding these vaccines. The blood clotting matter with the AstraZeneca vaccine is a serious concern, and no one should be forced to get vaccinated. Why would you vaccinate to face sudden death to keep some frowsy administrator, or your boss, happy? I say boss because I know this will be the next step, have your vaccine or not be allowed to come into work or apply for jobs. It’s sick, huh? I have already seen some businesses have started to use this and advertise this strategy, some of it may be against the law as it is blatantly discriminatory.
No one should be forced and as it is now, no one should feel left out from employment, schooling or public places because they choose not to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Personally, I am not prepared to take the vaccine now until I see the long term affects around it. My health comes first. But I will ultimately take one that I know or feel comfortable that is safe. But this is too soon, and even my doctor said as much to me last year that even she is not taking this vaccine right off the first rip.
I will lean on my doctor’s advice and wait until I see people react over the long term with this vaccine. I just don’t trust the drug companies. They are profits first and people last.
Be safe, folks!
I believe that it’s a personal choice. On the flip side, as was pointed out, a country can prevent you from disembarking on their soil if you don’t meet the requirements. There have been situations where individuals after a very long flight were refused permission to even get off the plane. (I won’t say where) Most establishments still require face masks upon entry even though the CDC has relaxed its standards. I personally will continue to wear my face mask when I’m out and about. I retired from teaching last year simply because the risk of going back into the classroom was too great. Of course, I couldn’t know that we’d be teaching via zoom for most of the year. I do believe that I made the correct choice. One has to live with one’s decision and suffer the consequences whatever they may be good or bad. So what it boils down to should be a matter of one’s choice.
