The Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France, in St Barthelemy, takes top spot on the US News and World Report ranking.
The U.S. News & World Report ranks the best hotels in the Caribbean based on an analysis of industry awards, hotel star ratings and user ratings. Hotels that scored in the top 10 percent of the Best Hotels in the Caribbean earned a Gold badge. Hotels that appear after ranked hotels are sorted by hotel class and then by user rating, as provided by TripAdvisor.
The Eden Rock, also in St Barths, takes the second spot as well. The Eden is owned/operated by the German based Oetker Hotel Management GmbH, which also appears under the brand name Oetker Collection.
Rounding out the top 5 spots are: Belmond Cap Juluca, Anguilla, taking the third spot ;followed by the Jade Mountain Resort in St Lucia at the fourth spot; and then the Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto, Rico.
The first English-speaking Caribbean Island to take a spot is the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios at the number 8 spot.
U.S. News & World Report releases annual rankings of the Best Hotels in the USA, the Best Resorts in the USA, the Best Hotels in the Caribbean, the Best All-Inclusive Resorts in the Caribbean, the Best Hotels in Mexico, the Best Hotels in Bermuda, along with the Best Hotels in Europe, the Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico, the Best Hotels in Canada and the Best Resorts in Canada.
